Dr. M Shahadat Hossain
Senior Consultant
Dr. M. Shahadat Hossain is a distinguished physiotherapist in Bangladesh, recognized for his pioneering contributions to manual therapy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (BSPT) and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy (MSc PT) from the Bangladesh Health Professional Institute (BHPI) affiliated to the University of Dhaka. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at Jahangirnagar University.
Dr. Hossain has received specialized training in manipulation therapy, earning a diploma certified by ETOMG in Belgium. He has also completed courses in the McKenzie Method (Parts A & B), Mulligan Concept, and dry needling techniques in India.
Professionally, Dr. Hossain serves as a faculty member at the Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (CRP) in Savar and is an assistant professor at Dhaka College of Physiotherapy. He previously held the position of Chief Consultant at Popular Medical College Hospital in Dhanmondi.
As the Chairman and Chief Consultant of ASPC Manipulation Therapy Centre in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Dr. Hossain leads a team dedicated to advanced physiotherapy practices. He is the founder and conceptual inventor of the Structural Diagnosis and Management (SDM) concept, a structured manual therapy approach.
In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Hossain is the Secretary of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Autism and Person with Disabilities (CARD) and serves as the Secretary-General of the Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA).
Through his extensive education, specialized training, and leadership positions, Dr. M. Shahadat Hossain has significantly advanced the field of physiotherapy in Bangladesh, particularly in manual therapy and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
